This one that we did gave instruction on how to create a robot hand from
cardboard, straws, & some yarn!

Zach stepped out of his comfort zone {and away from the video games} for this!!

Liam, on the other hand { hee hee }...
if it is remotely related to engineering & building...
then that means he is right in his element!
With this project he went rogue off of the directions, and came up with his own design!


I found a couple links to share with you all.
As far as I know, they are not the ones that the library used,
but I'm sure you can find one that will work for your project.
Here's a couple different designs that I have come across...
As you get going...let creativity & problem solving take over!!
Let them veer from the instructions to try out different ways to make the robot hand work.
At the library, they gave the kids those red solo shot cups to stack!
You can see Liam do one stack at the end of the video above!
