When was the last time you held your spouse's hand?

Holding hands is such a great gesture, isn't it?
Reaching for comfort from a steady hand when life seems to be so jumbled up & wobbly. This is true for the not yet balanced toddler, to myself on crazy days that I feel I have lost all control.
Life truly has a knack for throwing us off kilter. With our arms flailing to find something to grab onto...your Husband/Wife's hand will give you stability.
Small or big, fear can freeze us in our tracks. From the things that go bump in the night, to having your child who is not feeling well...when the world gets scary....your Husband/Wife's hand will give you security.
Sadness & tears are all a part of life. There is loss, which is SO hard on our hearts! Disappointments we can feel deeply. When you just need quiet serenity...your Husband/Wife's hand will give you sympathy.
LOVE. A small way to give & get love is thru holding hands. In those moments joy takes over, and bubbling happiness overflows from your soul. When life is just GOOD...and you are content...your Husband/Wife's hand will give you sentiment.
I ask again, "When was the last time you held your spouse's hand??
Are you allowing your hands to be open in case your loved one needs any of the above from YOU?

From an article on Psycology Today's website...it states that...
"...it is clear that when we touch lips, tongues or fingers, we are literally maximizing the amount of contact between our two brains. This yields the greatest sensory richness and “brain intimacy ” ..."
Connection with your spouse is wonderful...Connecting with your spouse MIND TO MIND is AMAZING!!!
Ladies....we've always said we want our guys to love us for our MINDS...right!?!? ;)

When you are out on a date, when you are marathon'ing Netflix, when you are having coffee together at the kitchen table, when you are laying in bed together at the end of the day....grab your special someone by the hand! And hold on to that moment....TOGETHER!
I know, if this is not custom for the two of you, it may take some adjusting to it! Give it time...keep trying...AND NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER GIVE UP!!!
We only have so long in this life to connect with our husband/wife. So hold hands...kiss...hug...give massages...run your fingers in their hair....scratch their back...
whenever you can!!
Sending Love & Light,
Jenn
