Valentine's Day is JUST around the corner!! What are you & your sweetheart going to be doing to celebrate??
We all know how busy it will be at all the swanky restaurants & movie theaters! Because, those are the typical go to's for a "special night out". If you would rather skip getting lost in the crowd, why don't you plan to cook dinner...at home...together!!!
You will save money...Making dinner at home is MUCH cheaper than paying for the fancy restaurant to make it for you!
No need for a babysitter...Which means you will be able to keep even more money in your pockets!!
You can go on your "date" in your pjs...Unless you want to get dressed to the nines, you can just sport your favorite pjs or sweat pants!
No need to actually leave the house...If you are anything like us, our favorite place to be is at HOME. Especially during the chillier months of winter!
I picked up some Valentine's heart shaped pasta, spaghetti sauce, salad, & a box of truffles at Aldi. I can not tell you how much I love Aldi! We've been shopping there for YEARS, and it has saved us a TON of money!! For our date night, Aldi once again helped us keep a hold of our cash!! I'm sure I spent more than HALF of the amount that we would have spent eating out somewhere!
When it was time for us to start on dinner, I put on some of our favorite songs. There were a couple of times that we danced together in the kitchen. And, of course, LOTS of hugs & kisses!!
Now, I must warn you...if you are having a Date Night IN, you will need to be FLEXIBLE!!
We had kids walking by, and one that came in and ate dinner & chatted with us, all while we were fixing our "romantic dinner"! Chatting with us the WHOLE TIME!! Not that we really minded, we love talking with our kiddos, but...ya know...it's date night!!
We finally got to sit down with our yummy food, when Frost comes flying by....one of his tanks had a malfunction and had leaked water all over his floor!! Oh my!! So Danny had to go help him get that under control. So what did I do during this?? I folded some laundry!!

Once all the chaos calmed down, we were able to hide in our bedroom to watch some movies while eating our truffles!
LET ME TELL YOU FRIENDS....YOU MUST TRY THESE!!!
Yummiest chocolate & flavors I think I have EVER had the pleasure of tasting!! I believe I only paid like, $2.99 for these...and they were worth EVERY DELICIOUS CENT!!!
Even with our crazy kids around, the tank spill of 2018, and all the other distractions...we HIGHLY recommend a date night at home!! Cook a favorite dish together, or try something new! Maybe go for a themed night?? Mexican, Chinese, Italian?? Have some wine...you will already be at home!! Won't have to worry about driving anywhere!!
Make time for each other. It IS important!!
