Operation Clean Slate - EMAIL

Are you ready to start with a clean slate??


I believe when you are ready to begin making changes in your life, to create the best life for yourself, it is best to start with a clean slate! It is nice to leave as much of the past, as you can, in the past! Rid yourself of the weight of clutter...be it emotional, mental, physical, or digital clutter!! A good place to begin would be with your EMAIL!!



Get comfortable...if your email account looks anything like mine...well, it's going to take a bit to go thru all of it!! Put on some comfy clothes...make yourself some coffee, tea, or your favorite 'go to' drink...grab a warm blanket....and settle in!!


Organize your email...do you have folders to sort stuff in?? If not, create some!! Here are some that I have...


Confirmations...this is where I put digital receipts, and when you sign up for a site and they send you the email that has your access information.


Insurance...I usually email our car insurance lady when I have questions, this is where I keep all of our correspondence.


Homeschool Group...I have it set up so that any notifications from our fb group will land right into this folder. Any emails between myself & members also goes here. Also if I am communicating back and forth with a potential field trip location.


From Hubby...Anything my lovely Husband has ever emailed me is kept here!


If you have favorite subscriptions to blogs or other websites....give them their own folder! Check to see if you have the option for all of their mailings can automatically be delivered to their assigned folder as soon as you receive them!


Delete anything considered "junk" and that you don't need. Clear it all out until all that remains in your inbox are things you currently need to reply to or information you MUST keep!


Are you getting email from websites or business you are no longer interested in....UNSUBSCRIBE!! Less messages coming in, means there won't be as many messages to go through later!!

This can be a time consuming task, but well worth it in the end!


I know that I find it satisfying when I log in, and there are only a handful of messages to go through. Trying your best to put those messages where they belong, deleting, or replying right away will keep that nice "clean & organized" feeling to your inbox!
